Team Description

Hyperion Racing is a student run organisation committed to designing, racing and marketing the best formula 1 style, open wheel, open cockpit race car possible, a team that participates in International Engineering design competitions called FSAE or Formula SAE, worldwide.
The team engage their knowledge and skills to test while also obtaining valuable hands on experience
By building the best vehicle possible, the team upholds the reputation of excellence for our university and sponsors who have graciously supported them.
The Hyperion racing team consists of a small group of highly motivated and dedicated group of undergraduate students. Each student must balance a difficult work load while also making time for this challenging extracurricular activity. The students come from a broad range of backgrounds and majors, allowing for more diverse thoughts and ideas.
The team made its debut in 2014 participating in Formula Student Germany and gain the title of lightest first year Indian car. They also participated in Formula design Competition 2015 with overall rank of 10th position and overall 18th position in FS India 2016.
The team participated in Champion of Champions Competition 2019 held by ISIE India.
The team now aims at competing at Formula Student Bharat 2020, SUPRA SAE 2020 representing Pillai College of Engineering.
